BOPAC2 (Bradford OPAC 2)
Try BOPAC2
a JAVA based way of querying multiple library catalogues.
The BOPAC2 project investigated dealing with the problems of large and
complex retrieval sets, possible from multiple databases, obtained
via the Z39.50 protocol.
A grant for the work was obtained from the
British Library Research and Innovation Centre
and work on a one year project started in September 1996.
The project was then extended till January 1998 to allow for more user testing.
Although that phase of the project is over the system is still running
and feedback is most welcome.
The system is being maintained and updated, new targets are being added and we hope to make
major changes in the near future.
